Webpage for Young Adult and Adolescent Cancer Program
Teen Cancer America provides the expertise that hospitals and healthcare professionals require to understand the unique needs and nuances of adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer. They help health systems develop age-specific programs that restructure the health system to best support the currently underserved population.

Problem
Teen Cancer America increases survival and improves the lives of adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cancer by transforming hospitals to better serve their needs. As a part of their programs, they provide a community for AYA cancer patients and survivors to explore the art of songwriting and producing as an opportunity for self-expression. They used a page on their WordPress website to highlight this work and its impact, as well as to encourage their community and artists to participate in the program. However, this page was difficult for users to navigate and required significant scrolling before site visitors could find what they needed.
Solution
Prometheus matched Teen Cancer America to a designer to reimagine a new webpage for this program. The talent conducted usability testing and interviewed stakeholders in order to develop the user journey map of the webpage. The volunteer then created user-friendly designs that would make it easier for the nonprofit to highlight their program and receive donations and registrations of new patients.
